Verbal Behavior: Extended Edition. Chapter 12: The Autoclitic. Quote 36

We sometimes add autoclitics to the verbal behavior of another speaker: we emphasize what he has said by saying True!, we qualify it by saying Maybe, and we deny it by saying No! These are all forms which we also apply to our own behavior. A special form of assertive autoclitic used with respect to another speaker is a modification of is in the form So be it or the Hebrew Amen. (p. 330)
