It is useful to maintain the distinction between the confirmation of a tact and of an intraverbal. If we have put something in one of two boxes labeled A and B and as the result of looking in B we say It is not in B, we can also construct the response It is in A. This has the form of a complex tact, such as might be emitted after looking in A, but it is reached by construction. (p. 426)
